Bridget Trainor has practiced law in Freeport, Illinois since returning to her home community in 2007. She graduated with highest distinction from the University of Iowa in Iowa City in 2003 with a degree in History and Secondary Education. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2007 where she was admitted to the Law Review. Bridget completed the intensive mediation training program through Northwestern University's School of Continuing Studies. She is an approved mediator by the Courts of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Illinois.
She is admitted to practice law in both the state courts in Illinois and the federal courts for the Northern District of Illinois.
Bridget is active in her community. She is President of the Freeport Noon Kiwanis Club, serves on the Board of Directors of the Freeport Area
Chamber of Commerce (formerly served as Chairperson) and sits on its Event Committee (formerly served on its Finance and Strategic Planning Committees). She also serves on the Campaign Cabinet for
United Way of Northwest Illinois and is on the Lincoln Douglas 5k Race Planning Committee. She is a member of the Stephenson and Winnebago County Bar Associations and the Illinois State Bar
Association. Bridget serves as the chairperson of the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Fifteenth Jucidial Circuit in Illinois.
Bridget formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Freeport and Stephenson County (2008-2012) and the Freeport Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors (2007-2012), and was honored to serve as the 2011 Ambassador President. Bridget also formerly served as Treasurer of the Stephenson County Bar Association.
Bridget and her husband, Peter Servatius, have a child and reside in Freeport.
